DIRECTOR OF YOUTH & CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

 

Ron Armenta has been an active member of St. Mark’s since 2010.  In that time he has served the Body of Christ at St. Mark’s as Youth Ministry Volunteer, Music Ministry Volunteer, Sunday School Teacher, Interim Contemporary Service Music Director, Bible Study Leader and Congregational Council Vice President.

 

Ron is married to Kedrin Armenta, and has four children: Victoria, Rony III, Persephone and Seraphine.

 

When he retired from the military after more than 20 years of service, Ron founded a graphic arts company and intensified his focus on youth ministries.  In 2015 he became a key member of the interim Youth & Children’s leadership team, which eventually led to his selection as the Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries in June 2015.

Ron is currently enrolled in the Pastoral Ministries Program at Nazarene Bible College. He will continue to serve at St. Mark's until he completes the academic portion of his program in May 2020, when Ron will begin his Clinical Pastoral Education followed by an internship and culminating with his ordination as a Pastor.

 

Ron’s hobbies include: visual arts, playing guitar, event planning, martial arts, marksmanship, video games and spending time with his family.

Lucille Bowers

ST. MARK'S PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

 

Lucille Bowers currently serves as the Director of St. Mark’s Preschool in Fairfield. She has served the preschool and the community since 2001. She found St Mark’s as a mother of preschool age children and decided to return to school to become one of St. Mark’s teachers. In 2006 Lucille became the preschool’s director.

 

Prior to her calling into this ministry she was the Nor-Cal and Nevada district sales manager for a multi-million dollar retail company responsible for 15 stores and over 120 employees.

 

Lucille Bowers is married to Bill Bowers, and together they have two daughters: Madison and Molly.

 

Lucille often states she feels truly blessed with the love of family, this preschool, her awesome staff and everyone at St. Mark’s.

 

Her hobbies are being in the outdoors, going to the gym, spin class, yoga, walking her dog, and spending time with her family.

ACCOMPANIST & CHORAL DIRECTOR

 

Maestro Semyon Lohss continues to serve St. Mark's as the Musical Director for the traditional service. He is also celebrating his 23rd season as the Music Director and Conductor of the Solano Community Symphony. The Maestro brings years of orchestral, opera and choral conducting experience to our traditional service.

 

A native of St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia; the Maestro is an honors graduate from the Leningrad State Conservatory with two Masters of Music Degrees: one in Symphony and Opera Conducting and the other in Choral Conducting.

 

In June 2002, Maestro Lohss made his Carnegie Hall debut with great success. His guest conducting highlights include the Ballet California, North Bay Opera, Vallejo Symphony, Palo Alto Philharmonic and Nova Vista Symphony, among others. He joined the Solano Community Symphony for 1992-1993 Concert Season and has been a staple at St. Mark's since 2003.

Roland Lubin

DIRECTOR OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

St. Mark's welcomed Roland Lubin as our new Director of Contemporary Music in December 2019. Roland has experience with a number of different instruments and about ten years of experience playing church music. He likes to keep people's spirits uplifted and understands music as a way of connecting with ourselves and the spirit within. He likes music to uplift those who have worshiped for a long time and those new to our worship experience.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

 

Prior to joining St. Mark's staff in December 2018, Alicia worked at Victory Outreach in the Fairfield and Vallejo parishes for 12 years as a secretary and volunteer coordinator. Her interpersonal skills define her as a proactive team player who communicates well within a diverse community. As Volunteer Coordinator Alicia defined and implemented the roles and responsibilities of the staff. Her empathetic skills when interacting with people were key to her success in this role.

Alicia's vast administrative experience includes Event Planning, not only within a parish, but also on a regional level. Fundraisers are one of her passions. She has been mentored in this area, and continues to consult her mentor to expand her knowledge in the administrative field.

Alicia is married to Jori Henderson, who is an active member of Victor Outreach Fairfield. He aspires to become a pastor.
