The purpose of the Community Resource Center is to live out the call to be Christ to the world. What does that mean? It means to meet people wherever they are. What does that mean? To offer food if they need to be fed, to offer worship if they need a place to worship, to provide clothing if they need to be clothed, to offer spiritual food for those who are hungering for something more.
The Community Resource Center seeks to live out the Jesus’ parable of the sheep and the goats: “when I was naked you clothed me, when I was hungry you fed me, when I was in prison you visited me. When you did this to the least of these you did it to me." When we meet people where they are at we meet Christ wherever Christ is, everywhere and in everyone.
How does the Community Resource Center build a bridge to God through meeting people where they are?
By providing a menu of services for people in need.
By providing a number of opportunities to volunteer.
